PROCESS

...

Every piece starts on a potter's wheel and then is trimmed or altered by hand. Nothing is molded or jigged.

After drying for several days the work is loaded into an electric kiln and bisque fired.

Once bisque fired the work is ready to be glazed. I use many different glaze firing techniques to achieve the desired outcome. In my studio I have an electric kiln so most of the work is fired in there, but on occasion I use a wood kiln, gas kiln or pit fire.
